As the song crescendoed into a downright orchestral blow-out, my arms waived frantically. Playing the drums, I grinned with content at the band to my right, and caught glimpses of the crowd to the left as I head-banged my way through the last minute of the song. When it was over I was raging – my heart beating, my nerves on call, adrenaline pumping through me like an oil rig at dawn.
I looked left towards the crowd, slowly pulled the curtain shut, and turned to my iPod to see which band had brought this city-center embarrassement upon me. It was Holy Fuck…
…actually, it was me that caused a crowd to gather as I sat by the window of my first-floor apartment rocking out to Holy Fuck. Nonetheless, they deserve the credit.
I even let out a little yelp in the office when I read that they’re bringing out a new album this year. The first song off it is available for free, but we’ll get to that later.
With the greatest respect, I present you: “Lovely Allen” by Holy Fuck
“The Pulse” – Holy Fuck
and because I love crazy drum solos, here’s “Super Inuit”
and finally, the first song from the upcoming album (Latin), this is great performance of “Latin America” by Holy Fuck
the newest song, ‘Latin America’, is available as a free download from their website. The new album, ‘Latin’, is due May 11th. Be sure to check their myspace for shows as they are quite the adventure to see live.
I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it.
